So far it looks incredibly similar to Rage (as it should). There seems to be a bit less driving required in this game because, lets be honest, i suck at driving games... Give me a gun and tell me to shoot giant alien monster mutant things? Sure. no problem. Put me behind the digital wheel and NPCs are at risk. I can no longer guarantee their safety. There will probably be a lot of me getting stuck on inanimate objects and then backing up at full speed into a crowd of innocent bystanders... I am the mustang meme of the videogame community.

Like the first Rage, this one is tribe/community based which is super cool. I like to think that we'd still find our own little communities after an apocalyptic encounter... WE ARE PACK ANIMALS, PEOPLE!

They announced yesterday that Rage 2 is a thing that is finally happening and that there would be an official gameplay trailer today and they did NOT disappoint! the Rage series (omg yay it's a series now!), like most of Bethesda's works, is pretty all-inclusive as far as gaming styles go. FPS, RPG, Racing, etc. It is all there and I can honestly say, even though there's racing bits, I am so stoked for this to be released so that I can play it!!!

Also... can we mention that the level of Andrew W. K. in this game is Over 9000?!?!?!?!?!?

So, remember a while back?
You know... When I was freaking out about the new Resident Evil game?

Well, it turns out that I wasn't the only one!

In response to that, Capcom released a remastered version of Resident Evil 0!

Capcom have announced that sales for Resident Evil 0 have topped 1.1 million!

In May it had only sold 800,000 units. That means that within the span of around 4 months, the game sold over 300,000 units!
What the what?!?

To put things in perspective, think about this:
Since it's release in 2002, the original Resident Evil 0 (released on Gamecube) has sold 1.25 million units. That's over it's ENTIRE sale history.
Now that it has been remastered and re-released it has sold over 1.1 million units since JANUARY!

The remastered and re-released version of this game has almost matched the sales of 12 years in 6 months!

Tokyo, and our hearts, will never be the same again....again...

Armed with a huge tail and tiny arms, Godzilla is stomping his way into our hearts again.

You'll recall that, quite a while back, Godzilla took a mighty detour into weirdzville.

Not that it was ever not...weird...

Looking more like a Stegosaurus had a baby with a T-Rex and it came out with Bruce Campbell's jawline...

 Godzilla terrorized America's sweetheart, Matthew Broderick. 

Then, many years later, Godzilla got revamped!

It went to some sort of giant mutant lizard rehab!
It started to look more like itself again and we were all so proud of it!

Now Godzilla has been once again updated!
Looking more like itself than ever, Godzilla is back with us in:

Godzilla Resurgence!
(I see a "Resurgence" trend catching on... hmmm....)

Those beady little eyes are staring into our souls, gamelings...

our. very. souls.

Those tiny arms...
That enormous tail...
Those cactus-like back spikes...
That skin texture...

These are all features reminiscent of the original Godzilla.

This movie will be in Japanese theaters on July 29th, 2016!!

The Real World: Final Fantasy Edition

Hey, Final Fantasy fans!

Have you ever been playing Final Fantasy and thought:

"You know, I love this game a bunch, but it could use more chibi, Pokemon-like battles, and small animals on heads"?

Well, the people over at Square Enix answered SOMEONE'S prayers by bringing us:

World of Final Fantasy

The  PS4 and PS Vita RPG was showcased this past weekend at Japan Expo. 

The release dates are:
North America - October 25

Japan - October 27

Europe - October 28

I know what you are thinking...

"Can't we get an idea of what the frak you are talking about?"

The Pokemon Sun Is Rising!

A few weeks back we hit the tip of the Pokemon Iceberg with news about Pokemon Sun and Moon. Today we have a bit more information about the upcoming releases from Nintendo. 

A tentative release date has been set for November 18, 2016 for Japan, Australia, Canada, and the United States, with a release a few days later in Europe hinting at the 23rd. 

There have been a plethora of new Pokemon that have been made public from Nintendo since our last update as well. There are just so many I cannot list them all here, and will provide a link to Nintendo’s official Pokemon website at the end of the article.  

Nintendo seems to be doing a very good job of keeping the flow of information going rather than keeping a tight lid on the projects (Looking at you Pokemon Go!).  We here at the pinup gamer will do our best to keep you all up to date with the newest information as it becomes available.

No Man's Sky: The Gold Standard

It's official, Gamelings!
No Man's Sky has gone gold!

"Dafuq are you on about?"

The term "gone gold" refers to creating a "gold master" of the game once it is playable and fit for release! That means that this game, despite it's short delay, will be released and playable by us soon! How cool is that?!?

The tentative release date is Aug. 9th.
So make sure you're all set for this game by then!

The Keyblade Masters Return!

E3 2016 is just churning out excitement this year, isn’t it?

Disney had the debut of one of the latest installments in their WIDLY popular collaboration with Square Enix , Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts may have been absent from E3 2016, but were at least given some hope for the franchise in the form of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prolog.

The collection, set for a December release, contains HD remasters of; Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep – A Fragmented Past.

KH2.8 will also be the first in the series to boast 60fps (frames per second) at 1080p resolution.

This is coincidentally the using the same graphic engine of the much anticipated KH3, and let me say, it looks AMAZING! 

The Pokemon Come and the Pokemon Go!

OMG IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!!!!!

After almost a year of spastic-outburst riddled anticipation we finally have a rough date of release for

According to the E3 2016 Nintendo Panel, the long anticipated world wide mobile phenomenon that is Pokemon Go! will be released for BOTH Android and IOS in late July of this year.

I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait for this game to launch!

For those of you who have had their heads in the sand like a scared Hippopotas

Pokemon GO! is a collaboration between Nintendo and Niantic, Inc. It is an AR (augmented reality) game that will bring Pokemon into our world! This is something that Pokemon fans of all ages have been begging for since, since,….. well since we were all introduced to the lovable creatures back in 1996*Japan* (1998 *US, Australia*  ,  1999 *EU*) with the release of the original Pokemon Red and Green/Blue (US, AU, EU) on the Gameboy Handheld System. 

Thank you so much Nintendo for answering the Poké-prayers of every person in the history of frikken EVER

Sorry, back to the basics of the game.  To play the game to the fullest you will need this!

That awesome looking bracelet is called the Pokemon GO Plus, it is a Bluetooth enabled device that will vibrate, blink, and generally do weird things to alert you the the presence of a nearby Pokemon. It will be available for purchase soon after the launch of the game for $34.99 USD.  From what we can tell it is not required to play the game.

You know what, why don’t we just watch the video instead of me trying to explain just how awesome this game is, huh, shall we?

They're Everywhere, AHHHHHH

As the year is progressing Nintendo is releasing more and more information about it’s two newest Pokémon games;

So far we know what the starter pokemon are, and what the respective title legendaries are.

THE STARTERS

(left to right:  Rowlet , Litten , Popplio)

THE LEGENDARIES

(Solgaleo *Sun* ,  Lunala*Moon*)

There has been more information released in the wake of E3 2016.

The Legendaries have different forms called, Radiant Sun and Full Moon. These will be available with the acquisition of a specific Key Item.

Three more Pokemon have been revealed:

 

   Pikipek

 Yungoos    

                                                                                                                     

 

                                                                       Grubbin

There is also a brand new battle format!!!

It is called “Battle Royal”, and it is just what it sounds like.  It is a four-way free for all between four trainers and their respective pokemon. Each pokemon can attack whomever they wish in the battle field.

We will also be receiving a special Pokedex!!!!

They might be bring back the trainer customization!!!
