Hey there, Gamelings!
SDCC has been insane this year and we're going to cover the news that drops in our new news series: Loot Drops!
This one is dedicated to the movie excitement that has been generated with all of the film trailers that have been released so far!
First up we have "Godzilla: King of the Monsters"!!!!
This has generated the most buzz this year! This is due, in part, to the phenomenal trailer and extensive star power! There's no doubt that the combination of nostalgia, for the older audience, and popular stars, for the younger audience, has shot this monster movie to the top of everyone's list.
For those of us in the mid-range age-wise, I'm sure we're just hoping not to have another 1998 fiasco on our hands...
Please...PLEASE.... |
Next up, garnering less buzz than our friend Godzilla but still kicking up quite a fuss, is Aquaman!
Fans have shied away from DC live action for a while now. Marvel seems to rule those waters, these days. I know that I, personally, have had issues staying true to even my favourite DC hero, Batman. This film, however, is showing the DC Film Universe turning with the tide. This promises to be a noteworthy experience in the very least!
Potterheads rejoice!
The trailer for Fantastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindelwald has dropped!!
Who is ready to fly back into the magical potterverse?! I certainly am and I cannot wait to see what this adventure holds for Newt Scamander!
Also, Who has the same fear as Newt? Working in an office? Just me? Show of hands.

Next up: Shazam!
Deadpool ushered in the age of the anti-hero. Not exactly a hero... But not exactly a villain either. In a world that, these days, feels more and more divided society leans on the Anti-hero that seems to thrive on Chaotic Neutral energy and a sense of humour.
Shazam seems to continue these trends in the best way and channels every kid's desire to be a superhero. Verdict: Relate-able AF.
Rounding out the movie trailers released so far is Glass!
The star power in this film is incredible and it continues the superhero/supervillain theme! I am personally extremely excited about this one! While the buzz about it has been kept mostly to a dull murmuring, I have no doubt that this movie will blow people away! Also, I am hoping for at least one "motherfucker"....
That's all we have for now!
Check back soon for more Loot Drops!
Until next time,

I think I'm looking forward to Glass and Shazam the most. Oh, and Clone Wars, but that's TV.
ReplyDeleteThose definitely have my attention but the ones I am most excited for are Godzilla and Fantastic Beasts!
