Kiss My Ass-cot! The Tale of Scooby Apocalypse

There comes a time in everyone's life when they realize that the world as they knew it has changed.

what is my life GIF

For kids who grew up watching Scooby Doo (much like myself and my children) that day is the day that they realize that DC made a comic book series starring everyone's favorite meddling kids and their wonderful pup named Scooby Doo.

The series is titled "Scooby Apocalypse" and it thrusts our favorite mystery solving gang into a post-apocalyptic setting. You will follow the post-apocalyptic teens as they battle mutated creatures and people as well as a virus that amplifies your fears and basic instincts.

The classic characters get a re-imagining in a big way for this apocalyptic nightmare world:

Scoobert "Scooby" Doo is the runt of a litter of "Smart Dog" prototypes that had a microchip implanted into their brains and cybernetic enhancements which, through connection with the chip, allowed the dogs to communicate with humans.

Norville "Shaggy" Rogers was a dog handler at the lab that created the "Smart Dog" prototypes. It is there that he met, and saved, Scooby Doo. The two would, as the story always goes, become inseparable.

Velma Dinkley was the lead scientist at the lab that created the, you guessed it, "Smart Dog" prototypes!

Daphne Blake is a reporter and the host of the show "Daphne Blake's Mysterious Mysteries".

Fred Jones is the camera man for "Daphne Blake's Mysterious Mysteries" and will occasionally act as Daphne's moral compass.

This wonderful idea was part of a much larger Hanna-Barbera comic book universe project which includes other Saturday morning cartoon staples such as The Flintstones, Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Birdman, and more!
If you are a fan of nostalgia, mysteries, and monster hunting, head on over to DC Comics and purchase these comics quick, fast, and in a hurry!

Until next time, gamelings,
